Overview

drsscode is a personal style platform designed to help people use the clothes they already own more intentionally. Users can build a digital closet, create outfits, track what they wear, plan looks, and participate in style-focused experiences.

The product is developed and operated in-house, giving Basal House direct responsibility for the complete lifecycle of a consumer mobile product.

Challenge

The product combines media-heavy mobile interactions, persistent wardrobe data, subscriptions, image processing, notifications, analytics, and frequent product iteration across both iOS and Android.

The challenge is not simply shipping individual features. The platform has to keep those systems coherent while preserving an experience that feels visual, immediate, and personal.

Basal House's Role

Basal House leads the product architecture, engineering, creative direction, backend development, release process, analytics implementation, and ongoing technical evolution of drsscode.

Because the product is operated in-house, decisions are continuously evaluated against real usage, product friction, platform requirements, and long-term maintainability.

Approach

The product is built as a cross-platform React Native application supported by backend services and shared product systems.

Features are designed around complete user workflows rather than isolated screens, including adding wardrobe items, creating outfits, planning what to wear, improving item photography, and participating in style challenges.

The platform also incorporates AI-assisted image tools, subscriptions, push notifications, analytics, administrative tools, and ongoing release infrastructure.
